چکیده
Fibroosseous lesions (FOLs) of craniofacial complex are poorly defined but pathologically diverse group conditions. FOLs represented by variety disease processes mimicking clinically and histopathologically as neoplasms, developmental dysplastic or inflammatory reactive process leading to difficulties in diagnosis hence clinicopathological correlation is required. To analyse fibro osseous for demographic details correlation. 26 cases clinicopathologically diagnosed such fibrous dysplasia, ossifying fibroma cherubism were studied from archives the Department over a 14yr period (2009 2022) reviewed. In retrospective study showed that more commonly seen second decade life with female predilection mandible most affected. Amongst these found be common our 46% (12/26) compared dysplasia 42% (11/26) Cherubism 12% (3/26). present FOL slightly prevalent females than male, affecting individuals below 30 years age. Our data several overlapping epidemiological features. Thus combination different modalities seems necessary an accurate diagnosis.

Fibro-osseous lesions of the maxillofacial bones.
Fibro-osseous lesions of the maxillofacial bones should be classified based on their radiographic growth pattern. This method can simplify this category of lesions, which have considerable overlapping histologic features. These neoplasms can be grouped into three categories: (a) fibrous dysplasia; (b) ossifying fibroma; (c) and osseous dysplasia. Important lesions in the differential diagnosis ...

The aim of this case series was to reveal the difficulties in diagnosing fibro-osseous lesions with radiological and histopathological examinations and quantify the potential risk of infection to fibro-osseous legions. To analyze the concordance between radiological and histopathological diagnoses, this retrospective case series included patients who were clinically diagnosed with fibro-osseous...

BACKGROUND Fibro-osseous lesion is a broad term for a diverse group of jaw disorders characterized by the replacement of normal bone by a benign fibrous connective tissue matrix. The present study reviewed the clinico-pathologic characteristics of all biopsied cases of fibro-osseous lesions at our hospital from 1990 to 2011, which we hope will serve as a reference database regionally. METHODS...
